The Dancefloor Project

Have you ever felt unsafe on the bus, walking to work or on a night out?

The Dancefloor Project is a collaboration between York St John University Psychology researchers, in association with York St John University Institute for Social Justice. It creatively and collaboratively explores prevalence and prevention of sexual harm in public spaces.

Because everyone deserves to be free to be themselves and bust a move without fear!

We have popped up in music venues, disused shops, parks, university campuses. This year we will be touring The Dancefloor Project to 15 local colleges to explore safety with young people in collaboration with the All About Respect Network.

Take up some space, bust a move, pick up a pen and tell us your demands for a safer dancefloor and a safer world.
